Salisbury Bank 2010 Annual Scholarship Program

Download application packet

Salisbury Bank established its Annual Scholarship Program in 2009 to assist students who have a proven financial need and who are currently making a difference in their communities. Five $4,000 scholarships are awarded each year to aid students seeking a college degree in a variety of programs. The ideal candidates are high-achieving students who also possess a variety of interests, have demonstrated leadership experience, show consistent community involvement, and want to make their world a better place.

Eligible schools for 2010 include: Housatonic Valley Regional High School (Litchfield County, Connecticut), Mount Everett Regional School (Berkshire County, Massachusetts), Dover High School, Webutuck Central School, and Stissing Mountain High School (Dutchess County, New York). Students must be attending or have graduated from one of these schools to apply.

Applicants must be planning to enter an accredited college as a first year student in the Fall 2010 semester. They will be evaluated according to a 100-point system that takes into account financial need; academic achievement; community service, volunteerism and leadership; as well as essay responses. The top scorers will also go through an interview process. Additional eligibility requirements are detailed further in the application packet.

Application Deadline is May 3, 2010

Completed applications and transcripts must be received by the Salisbury Bank Scholarship Committee by 5:00 p.m. on May 3, 2010. For application packets and detailed information about the scholarship program, visit your school's Guidance Office, pick up a packet at one of the Bank's eight convenient branches, or click here.
