Salisbury Bank held its official ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday, May 8, celebrating the opening of its new branch at 210 Main Street, Great Barrington, Massachusetts. This is Salisbury Bank’s third Massachusetts branch location.
Attending the celebration were Rick Cantele, President and CEO, Michael Varet, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Georgann Farnum, Great Barrington Branch Manager, Rich Aldrich, Executive Vice President, additional members of the Board of Directors, members of Salisbury Bank’s Management Team, and employees of the bank. Also joining the celebration were, Smitty Pignatelli, Massachusetts State Representative, Jennifer Tabakin, Great Barrington Town Manager, Betsy Andrus, Executive Director of the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce, Polly Mann, Director of the Claire Teague Senior Center, Colonel John P. Bubriski and the Color Company of the Adam Budz VFW Post 8183, Michael Murphy, Peter Naylor, Alan Besaw and John Regalbuti.

The ceremonial ribbon cutting included welcome remarks by Rick Cantele and Michael Varet, as well as the VFW Flag presentation to Georgann Farnum. As part of the grand opening festivities, Salisbury Bank presented $500 donations to two local community groups: Claire Teague Senior Center and Adams-Budz Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8183.
“The Claire Teague Senior Center cannot begin to thank Salisbury Bank enough for their generous donation,” stated Polly Mann, Director. “The Senior Center offers daily hot meals, socializations, health insurance counseling, foot care, exercise classes, educational seminars, and more. Salisbury Bank’s donation will allow us to enhance all of these programs at the Senior Center.” continued Mann.
Colonel John P. Bubriski accepted the donation on behalf of the Adams-Budz VFW Post 8183. In a letter received from Michael T. Casey, LTC, USAF Ret., Casey wrote, “Our Adams-Budz VFW Post 8183 was extremely honored to have been invited to participate in your Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on May 8, 2014. The members were pleasantly surprised at the size of your donation to our VFW Post. The donation will allow us to continue to provide for our veterans in need and sponsor programs and events that support our local community, particularly its youth, with the Patriot's PenandVoice of Democracy contests, and our Veterans in the Classroom at the Junior High School.”
Instead of a formal teller counter, the new branch features individual teller and customer service stations, and a plush seating area invites customers to relax in comfortable chairs and enjoy a cup of coffee. The branch also features a drive-thru teller lane, a 24-hour walk-up ATM, night depository and a convenient self-service coin counting kiosk. The branch offers the Bank's full-line of retail and business deposit, loan and Trust and Wealth Advisory services. Lobby hours are Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Thursday and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Drive-thru Teller hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
