| Salisbury Bank recently made a donation to the North Canaan/Canaan Little League, in support of their 2010 season. The North Canaan/Canaan Little League serves over ninety children in the community and offers children from the neighboring communities of Norfolk and Salisbury to join the league. Steve Blass former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher and a current broadcast announcer for the Pittsburgh Pirates threw out the first pitch for opening day on the field that bears his name. In the preceeding ceremony, Blass' number 13 Giant's jersey was retired and will be proudly displayed in a new consession stand at a later date.
