Salisbury Bank will hold its official ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new branch office at 640 North Main Street, Sheffield, Massachusetts on Monday, August 2 at 10 AM. The Bank is relocating its current Sheffield office from 73 Main to this larger location one mile north on Route 7.

Richard J. Cantele, President and CEO, Georgann Farnum, Branch Manager, Jody Law, Vice President Commercial Lender, Spring Bagnall, Mortgage Originator and Meredith Tiedemann, Trust Officer will be on hand to welcome John-Arthur Miller, Director of the Sheffield Senior Center, as well as customers and town officials.

Instead of the traditional red ribbon for the ceremony, Salisbury Bank will use a ribbon fashioned from $20 bills. Once the ribbon is cut, Salisbury Bank will donate the money to the Sheffield Senior Center.

Salisbury Bank has taken its concept of customer service to a new level, by designing the interior of the new Sheffield branch to provide an environment of comfort and professionalism for its personal, mortgage and business banking customers.

Instead of a formal teller counter, Sheffield branch customers will find individual teller stations with enhanced privacy features. A plush seating area will invite customers to relax In comfortable chairs and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Mr. Cantele continued, "We are very excited about this design, which is a new concept in branch banking in Berkshire County. Instead of the all-too-common experience of rushing in and out as quickly as possible, we are creating a bright, warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers may choose to slow down and relax for a few minutes."

Beyond the new building and furniture, innovations include modern, energy-efficient lighting and a colorful, fresh palette of paint and carpeting. The new design is also carefully planned to improve the ability of the Salisbury staff to provide the superior service the community has come to expect from the Bank.

The office will also feature two drive-up teller lanes, a 24-hour drive-up ATM, night depository and a convenient self-service coin counting kiosk. The branch will offer the Bank's full-line of retail and business deposit, loan and convenience services as well as trust and wealth advisory services. Branch hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to Noon. Drive-up hours will be Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to Noon.
