Salisbury Bank along with National Iron Bank and Litchfield Bancorp, recently combined efforts to support the Town of Salisbury's capital campaign for the construction of the new firehouse, located at 4 Brook Street. Salisbury Bank's commitment of $50,000, along with National Iron and Litchfield Bancorp's $25,000 individual commitments have made it possible to afford the fire department with a facility large enough to store its trucks as well as the gear that a fire department requires.

The new building was dedicated on November 11, 2010 with a ceremony to commemorate the 105th anniversary of the hose company's founding. In addition to room for all of the fire trucks, boats and ATVs needed for rescues, there is also office space and a kitchen for company members in the new building.
The Firehouse Campaign is still underway, and will be until Spring so that anyone who wants to help with a donation can still do so. Contact the Salisbury Town Hall for more information.
