At a time of year that’s all about hope and plenty, it’s sad that many of our neighbors may be struggling to put meals on the table. Continuing with our tradition of helping those less fortunate, Salisbury is once again placing baskets in each of its eight branch offices and encouraging people to help fill them with non-perishable items (or, if they prefer, to make a cash donation instead).
The money, food and household necessities collected at each location will be given directly to the food pantry that services that area. Local pantries are in need of non-perishable food items, disposable diapers, toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, laundry soap and pet food.
“Our annual Fill the Basket campaign is underway, and we are grateful to be able to partner once again with local food pantries to help those in need,” said Rick Cantele, President and CEO of Salisbury Bank. “This is a very worthy program that helps provide our neighbors with life’s basic necessities. And with winter approaching as well as the holidays, reaching out during this time is especially important.”
Join Salisbury Bank’s effort to help those who need assistance, and please accept our sincere thanks for enriching the lives of others.
