Starting your own business can be an exciting and rewarding experience that offers numerous advantages, such as the ability to be your own boss, set your own schedule and make a living doing something you enjoy. However, becoming a successful entrepreneur requires sound planning, creativity and hard work. It also involves taking risks. To begin evaluating whether or not owning a business is right for you, Salisbury Bank has partnered with the Berkshire Regional Office of the Massachusetts Small Business Development Center, to offer a free workshop series, An Introduction to Starting and Operating a New Business.
The first workshop, “So You Want to Start a Business?” will be held March 28, 2012, at Salisbury Bank’s Sheffield Branch, 640 North Main Street, Sheffield, MA. Designed for individuals exploring small business ownership, this workshop offers a unique opportunity to look at the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. By examining the pros and cons of owning a business, participants will gain a realistic understanding of the demands, challenges, and skills necessary for success
The second workshop, “Writing a Business Plan: Your Company’s Roadmap” will also be held a Salisbury Bank’s Sheffield Branch on April 4, 2012.
