Salisbury Trust Wealth Advisory Services Announces 2012 Sportsmanship Award Program
Lakeville, CT - April 6, 2012

Salisbury Trust is pleased to announce its 2012 Sportsmanship Award Program.
The Bank created this program in 2011 to honor the spirit of Eventing.
Eventing is an equestrian event comprising dressage, cross-country and show
jumping and has its roots in a comprehensive cavalry test requiring mastery of
several types of riding. Eventing has now evolved into an exciting sport attracting
interest from all levels of riding sports enthusiasts, from weekend hobby riders to
professional international stars.
Meredith Tiedemann, Vice President and Trust Officer explains, “We are very
proud to sponsor this award again this year to the horse and rider pair who
exhibits the spirit of Eventing through perseverance, integrity, horsemanship,
sportsmanship and humor.”
Salisbury Trust will sponsor and pay the entry fees for four riders in three
Area 1 events in the Northwest Corner.
How does the sponsorship program work?

  1. Interested horse and rider pairs are invited to submit their applications
along with the name of one character reference to Salisbury Trust
Wealth Advisory Services by May 15, 2012.
  2. A committee at Salisbury Trust will select 4 horse and rider pairs
from all of the applications and will pay for their entries at each of
    the following:
        • Riga Meadow Horse Trials, July 15, 2012
        • Town Hill Horse Trials, September 1 and 2, 2012
        • Kent School Horse Trials, October 7, 2012
  1. The horse and rider pair with the lowest average score at the three
trials will be awarded the “Salisbury Trust Sportsmanship Award”.
All skill levels will be considered: Beginner Novice, Novice or Training.
Participants must compete at the same level at each event.
Completed applications must be received by the Award committee by
5:00 p.m. on May 15, 2012. For application packets and detailed
information about the Sportsmanship Award Program, visit the Bank’s
