Lakeville, CT – July 29, 2013
Salisbury Bank is pleased to host its 4th Annual Free Community Shred-it Day on August 10, 2013 at the Millerton Office located at 87 Main Street, Millerton, NY. This convenient service allows members of the community to bring paper documents and records directly to the Shred-it truck to be destroyed. The shredded paper is recycled into other paper products.
“The risk of identity theft is lessened when documents that are no longer necessary to keep are shredded. Not only can identity theft occur when a wallet is stolen or information is inadvertently shared with a fraudster, but also when financial records such as checking account statements are pulled from the trash. With this information, an identity thief could attempt to withdraw funds, establish credit card accounts or loans in your name, which could lead to credit issues.” stated Betsy Summerville, Senior Vice President, Retail Banking.
Each person may bring up to 4 boxes of paper (no binders- please) for shredding by Shred-it personnel from 9:00 AM to Noon on Saturday, August 10th.
Salisbury Bank is proud to offer the community this environmentally friendly, free service.
