Salisbury Bank Offers Free Seminar on Elder Abuse and Fraud

Salisbury Bank, Geer Village and Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association are partnering to offer a seminar that will provide information on Elder Abuse and Fraud and what can be done to protect you or your loved ones.
In this informative seminar, we’ll discuss the following topics:
What is elder abuse and how can I protect myself and my loved ones from it?
How can I prevent myself from being a victim of financial exploitation?
Who are the perpetrators and who is at greatest risk?
What should I look for in choosing a Homecare Company?
Panel of Experts will include:
Karen Kuhl - Director of Business Development, Geer Village. Karen has worked extensively in the healthcare field as a director of adult day health centers, Social Services Coordinator in a skilled nursing setting, and Director of Community Relations at Geer. Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology, a minor in Psychology and a concentration in Sociology of Aging and Death & Dying.
Meghan Plouffe - Home Assistance Director, Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association. Meghan joined Salisbury Visiting Nurse Association (SVNA) in 2016, as the agency’s Home Assistance Director. As Director of the program, Meghan plays an instrumental role in helping community members and their families understand the options that are available to help them age safely at home. Meghan attended college in Newton, MA where she received a dual degree in Early Childhood Education and Mortuary Science.
Dayna Cook - Training Manager, Salisbury Bank and Trust Company. Dayna has been in banking for the past 13 years and joined Salisbury Bank and Trust Company in 2009. Over the course of her time with Salisbury Bank, she has primarily been involved with the retail area. Dayna moved to the Retail Trainer position in 2014 and one year later was promoted to Training Manager. In this position Dayna is responsible for training the Bank’s employees on elder abuse so they can increase their knowledge of this important issue.
