Salisbury Bank Announces 2016 Employee Awards

Salisbury Bank gives out awards to four deserving employees for the year 2016.

The “Employee of the Year” Award recognizes one outstanding employee - annually to celebrate their customer service, leadership, professionalism, enthusiasm, knowledge, and strong work ethic. The Employee of the Year must live Salisbury Bank’s vision and core values. This year’s recipient, Maria Marrero, serves as Loan Administrator and Analyst. Maria has the ability to make everyone she encounters feel better about their day with her pleasant attitude and engaging personality. She is passionate about her work, and obtains satisfaction through the contribution she makes to the success of the Bank each day.

The “Rookie of the Year” Award recognizes an employee who has really stepped up during their first year working at the Bank. The recipient of the 2016 Rookie of the Year Award, James Kelly,has a strong work ethic and good attention to detail; he is well respected by customers, and peers. Within the past year, James has held positions in both retail and lending and is currently a Commercial Loan Coordinator. James has a great attitude and creates a pleasant work environment with his good-natured personality and sense of humor.

The “Volunteer of the Year” Award recognizes an employee who consistently volunteers for the Bank throughout the year. The Bank is fortunate to have many volunteers for various events. The Volunteer of the Year Award recipient, Michele LaPlante, volunteered for 10 bank-sponsored events during 2016, including shred days, equestrian events, and summer music events. This is her second consecutive year winning this award. When Michele is not working or volunteering on behalf of the Bank, she participates in walks that bring awareness to various important causes. Michele exudes energy and has a passion for volunteering, all while living the Bank’s core values.

The 2016 President’s Award was presented to Todd Clinton. Todd has been a loyal member of the Salisbury Bank team for more than 30 years. He has overseen most of the critical operational areas within the Bank. During 2016, Todd strategically lead the Bank’s major system enhancement project and persevered through many obstacles and challenges, and he did it all with a sense of humor. Richard Cantele, President and CEO described Todd as “hard-working, steadfast, and passionate.”
