Riverside Bank, a Division of Salisbury Bank and Trust Company Offers a Free Seminar on Elder Financial Abuse
August 21, 2019
Riverside Bank, a Division of Salisbury Bank and Trust Company is offering a free seminar to spread awareness about elder financial abuse.
Widespread and easily over-looked, financial elder abuse is a growing and devastating problem in today’s society. According to the National Adult Protective Services Administration, recent research shows that elder financial exploitation is not only pervasive, but vastly under-reported; only one in 44 cases of financial abuse is ever reported.
This informative seminar is an opportunity for seniors and their families to:
- Learn about the most common scams and how the elderly can protect themselves
- Find out who to contact regarding scam attempts
- Gain the knowledge to help elderly safeguard personal information
