Because Banking Local Makes a World of Difference

Everyone knows shopping local and dining local make a big difference in your town’s economy. But banking local is just as important to your community—and especially to the families and businesses who call it home.

At Salisbury Bank, we are personally invested in the communities we serve. When you bank here, your deposits go directly back into helping local neighborhoods, businesses and non-profits. We’re always proud to help new businesses get off the ground and new residents put down roots. And our employees go above and beyond, year after year, to volunteer their time to help improve the hometowns we all love.

We’re committed to giving back to the communities we serve—knowing that what we do is made possible by our friends and neighbors. Here are just a few of our community highlights from 2022:

  • We made 215 loans to local business owners (total dollar amount $318,104,432)

  • $134,082,568 in mortgages lent to 392 local residents

  • 51,250 pounds of personal documents and sensitive information shredded by members of our communities at our free Community Shred Days

  • 7,109 hours our employees volunteered at 99 local organizations

  • 3,495 non-perishable food and household items and $12,845 donated to community pantries in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York

  • 205 local community organizations received our monetary support

  • 179 community members attended educational seminars and webinars through Salisbury Bank YOUniversity.

  • $13,500 in scholarship funding awarded to graduates from local area high schools
